Production Manager-2nd Shift

Summary:?The 2nd Shift Production Manager is responsible for?operations and personnel in a large, non-union manufacturing plant producing consumer goods.?

Description of Position / Duties:

  • Coordinate production to meet or exceed customer requirements maintaining the highest level of efficiency and within budgeted costs.

  • Support the plant manager in directing the safety, planning, production, and administrative support for a large multi-shift manufacturing facility.

  • Assist management to establish production and quality standards.

  • Identify, train, and develop production teams in the plant.

  • Develop plant goals in agreement of Plant Manager and ensure timely completion of short and long term goals through management of subordinate associates.

  • Insure all documentation and production records are completed accurately and properly.

  • Work closely with engineering and technical services on projects and activities for the plant, ensuring that projects are scheduled and completed, and machines are maintained properly.

  • Assist Plant Manager in analysis of plant budget and recommend areas of efficiency and economy.

  • Cultivate and promote a positive work environment.

  • Perform all duties according to safety standards. ?Responsible for safety practices of assigned personnel.

  • Assist Plant Manager with other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:????????

  • 5 year's operations and management experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Four year degree.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven success in hiring, training, developing, and leading teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Computer skills including Excel and Word.

  • Strong understanding of machinery and equipment.

  • Proven experience and success in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven track record of ensuring a safe work environment.

  • Strong problem solving skills.??

  • Multiple shift experience.

  • Lean manufacturing skills.?


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
